Bicycle Advocates for Annapolis & Anne Arundel County (“BikeAAA”)     
A 501c3 non-profit focused on creating a healthier, more livable Annapolis and Anne Arundel County by promoting safe bicycling for transportation, recreation and fitness.  We advocate for better bicycling conditions and transportation choices; and educate children, adults, and motorists about safe bicycling.

Road Rides

Take a tour by bike with a very knowledgeable and interesting guide.  Options include a 3 hour and a 6 hour tour, suitable for riders of varying abilities, with stops about every five to ten minutes.  There is a charge, but if you want to know more about where you live, it's well worth it! 

The Annapolis Bicycle Racing Team (ABRT) is one of the top-ranked amateur cycling teams in the United States.   Our team has over 100 regular members ranging in age from 14 to 62 years old with abilities ranging from novice to elite level.  Over the years, ABRT has been active in promoting bicycle safety and has conducted numerous safety clinics at area schools and for fourth groups.  We also put on some of the best racing in the district, including the Walkersville Road Race, the Church Creek Summer and Fall Time Trials, and the popular Annapolis Bay Country Century. 

With 3,000 members, BBC offers over 300 day rides annually, some as far south as Anne Arundel County.  Weekday and weekend rides offer something for everyone in the family. 

This club serves the Prince George's County area. 

Chesapeake Cycling Club
If you're looking for a ride on the Eastern Shore consider contacting this group of about 40 riders with average speeds of between 16-18mph. As you may have guessed, this group is associated with a tennis club.


The Oxon Hill Bicycle and Trail Club sponsors rides in Prince Georges, St. Mary's and Charles Counties.  Their Route Improvement Committee promotes bicycling safety with public officials and promotes bikeway development. 

PPTC offers dozens of rides every weekend in the District, Maryland and Virginia.  Rides occasionally include Anne Arundel destinations such as Deale and Galesville. 

Senior Cyclists offer custom designed bicycling trips developed specifically for active seniors (50 and up).  The club holds excursions in various parts of the country (mainly the east coast), and the trips range from 2 to 10 days.  They also offer single-day bike rides for seniors in the Northern Virginia - Washington DC area. 

White Clay Bicycle Club
The WCBC sponsors four major events a year that your club members might be interested in participating in. Our first event, the Icicle Metric Century (and More), occurs on April 4, 2020; our second event, Delaware Double-cross Metric Century, occurs on June 27, 2020; our third event, the Shorefire Imperial Century, occurs on August 8, 2020; and our fourth event, the Savage Imperial Century, occurs on October 3, 2020. Cycling Organizations

This group works on advocacy and safety issues, nature conservation, local transportation issues and biker access to bridges, trails and roads.  The groups holds annual events including the Earth Day Bike In, Bike Week, and the National Capital Biking Tour. 

This national advocacy organization, based in Baltimore, has lobbied for cyclists' rights for more than 100 years. 

Bike Maryland's mission is to promote bicycling, increase safety, improve conditions, and provide a voice for bicyclists in Maryland.  They promote pro-bike legislation on the state level in Maryland.

Bike and the Like provides personally hosted, reasonably priced tours in New York, New England, Pennsylvania, and the Midatlantic States.
