Check periodically for a short list of roads that we should not use on Club rides due to dangerous conditions. This list is not all inclusive. Includes:

1) MD-424 Davidsonville Road between Bell Branch in Crofton and MD-214 Central Avenue in Davidsonville with a few short exceptions in the vicinity of Davidsonville Park and Ride where there are wide shoulders and traffic lights to control the automobiles. Overall, there are no shoulders, there are curbs, aggressive and speeding drivers, and motor vehicle congestion.

2) Muddy Creek Road between Galesville Road and Sudley Road due to automobile speed, lack of shoulders, and motor vehicle congestion.

3) MD-Route 2 between Annapolis and Edgewater due to automobile speed, lack of shoulders, and motor vehicle congestion.

4) Bayside Road south of Chesapeake Beach is dangerous.

5) Riva Road area up north of Riva Area Park where there is a white ghost bike on the hill with no sight visibility or shoulder.

Be safe and drive the route in advance if you are not familiar with it. Please report any concerns to a Board member.

Club ride coordinators will decline to post rides with these road segments in the proposed routing for our health and safety.

Thanks!
