Eric Veit is the ride leader. All riders are welcome and we'll ride at individual paces with some together. This is a challenging, hilly ride - study the route and feel free to take a short cut back. Just tell Eric in advance.

Full length approx 55 miles & 3300', with some optional Civil War sites.
Park and start @ Wakefield Valley Park, 1007-1001 Fenby Farm Rd, Westminster, MD
Refuel opportunities at Manchester Highs mile 13.5, in Union Bridge (7/11 or Floodzone Market & Brewery) mile 44, and at New Windsor 7/11 mile 49.
Post ride refreshment options: closet - Pub Dog Brewing, 1203 New Windsor Rd, Westminster, MD; City Park Gaming & Brew Room,133 E Main St Suite 1G Rear, Westminster, MD, other Westminster restaurants; also Flood Zone Brewery & Market in Union Bridge - 11 miles back, but very cool place.
This route roughly covers the Civil War 'Pipe Creek line,' where General George Meade planned to fight invading Robert E. Lee & the Confederates in July 1863, til Gettysburg began and forces were committed there. Ride Leader Eric Veit will give a brief history before we start.
