Back to Basics: Winter Maintenance & Flat Tire Repair

Bike Shifting and Cadence 101 | ACTIVE

It is almost that time of year to get back out on the roads! Before riding season kicks off, let's cover some basic -but essential- maintenance steps to help ensure a smooth and positive start.

In this class we will focus on:

-drivetrain inspection and care

-shifter cable inspection

-proper tire pressure

-how to remove a wheel and repair a flat tire

A flat tire is never convenient, but it's an inevitable part of the cycling experience- it's not a matter of if, but when. Knowing how to handle it with confidence can make all the difference.

Please bring your bike for hands-on practice. My teaching methods are based on years of real-world experience, along with professional training from Park Tools and Trek Towson Service.

Come learn the skills that keep you riding safely, confidently, and prepared for the season ahead.
