Welcome to ABC's Performance Velo Ride!
The goal of this weekly ride is to focus on training and will include pace-lines, sprints, climbs, descents, and minimal stops. This ride is for cyclists looking for a challenging, strenuous ride. It is geared towards those looking to increase their speed and endurance in a team-like setting or may be training for races, Gran Fondos, or other such events.
The average pace: B+ 18-20 mph range, and generally competitive over somewhat demanding terrain. This is a DROP ride. We may regroup at stop signs or lights, but this is not guaranteed. You must be prepared in the event you end up solo and have the route downloaded and the supplies necessary to address mechanical problems on your own. There are no designated rest stops as the goal is to keep moving. The pace will vary slightly based on time of year and weather conditions.
This ride will take place weekly on Thursday mornings. Start time is 9am during spring/summer and 10am during late fall/winter. We ride year-round. The route will vary week-to-week and will be between 30-38 miles. In the event of bad weather please be sure to check the app or website the morning of the ride in case of cancellation.
