ABC South Anne Arundel County (SoCo) Evening Ride - 2024

**Updates 4/30/24:

1 - New meeting spot:  By popular demand, we're changing the meeting point to the parking lot just across from the pavilion (straight in the park, don't turn left into that first parking lot).  See map below.

2 - Alternate routes:  With Sands Road under construction, we're avoiding the two routes that use that (#1 and #2 below).  Planned route for 4/30:  https://ridewithgps.com/routes/46360737

Meet at Davidsonville Park on Patuxent River Road and be ready to ride by 5:30 PM for approximately 25 miles at 17+ mph average, regroup at intersections as necessary.

We have multiple route options:

Route #1 - 21 miles

Route #2 - 26 miles 

Route #3 - 25 miles 

We usually do #2 for a longer ride or #1 for a shorter ride, but sometimes we'll mix it up with #3 if everyone agrees at the start of the ride.  For #1 and #2, we'll regroup at the gas station at the intersection of Harwood Road and Route 2, and participants can decide for themselves which route to take at that point.

Ride leader: RJ Marquette. Register to let the ride leader know you plan to attend and receive weather updates & cancellations.

In case of inclement weather: In general, we'll make a go/no-go decision around 4 p.m., based on the outlook during the riding hours.  Of course, if the situation deteriorates after that, we may still need to cancel.  RJ will usually ride on Zwift instead; contact him if you're interested in that option.

Route changes: To avoid confusion, we will only adjust the route due to serious issues, such as road closures, inclement weather, mechanical issues, and so on.  Participants will agree on the day's route at the start of the ride.
