The full ride is about 60 miles. We start near St. Michaels then head down to Tilghman Island with a short rest stop at the end of the island, then head back through St. Michaels to take the ferry (the oldest privately owned ferry in the US) over to Oxford. There we’ll get lunch at the Oxford Market and sit at the picnic tables looking out at the Tred Avon River. Then it’s back around the loop through Easton and back to the start. We’ll have at least two pace groups. There are a couple of options for shorter distances (longer ones too).
Here are some details: Getting there is really easy – Rt. 50 to Rt. 322 to Rt. 33 to the parking lot. It takes me 45-50 minutes but I’m only 5 minutes from the Bay Bridge. Start will be at 9 am from the nature trail parking lot almost across the street from St. Michaels Elementary School on Rt. 33. This is located on the left about 9.5 miles after turning on Rt. 33. School is still in session, so we won't try to park there. Bring $6 for the ferry and $ for lunch (great sandwiches) in Oxford.
I’m announcing a rain date of June 20 as a way preclude bad weather for the scheduled date.
