AR Chestertown Downrigging Metric & 48

An ABC adventure ride to coincide with the Chestertown Downrigging Festival that includes tall ships, seafood, beer and live music.

Rides will start at 8:00 at Wilmer Park in Chestertown. We'll stop at the Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge visitor center at mile 22 and the festival after the ride.

Ride Leader is John Tyrrell and this is the metric route 64 miles.

This is the 48 mile route. Open ride leader is needed

Both routes include a nice outdoor cafe stop. You may ride shorter or longer as well. We will likely have several speed groups. Please invite your families to meet up with us after the ride.

We will take water break at mile 20 at the wildlife refuge and food break if needed at mile 34 in Rock Hall.

Sultana Downrigging Weekend fills Chestertown’s gorgeous waterfront with equally gorgeous schooners, ships and beautiful wooden boats. Now one of the largest Tall Ship and Wooden Boat Festivals on the East Coast, this event welcomes participating vessels from throughout the region and provides festival attendees with the opportunity not only to see and explore these ships but to venture out on the water during scheduled sails. In addition to the ships, the festival also includes world-class musical performances, dynamite food from local restaurants and the chance to try local spirits.
