Frederick Oktoberfest Ride - Rain Cancelled

Annual Frederick Oktoberfest is back on at the Frederick Fairgrounds and its an excellent event, one of the best in the country.

Come out for some ABC rides before hand and then enjoy the fest afterwards.

John Tyrrell we be leading for ABC. Hope to have several routes, distances, and speeds in the beautiful Frederick area starting at Frederick Community College Monroe Center near the fairgrounds. Let me know if you are seeking car pooling and I'll try to match people up.

The route will warm up for 5 miles through the city by the fairgrounds then follow the downtown river trail through Carroll Creek Park and Baker Park. We'll pass by the Schifferstatd architectural museum and a covered bridge. The city route is on designated bike lanes.

Leaving the city, we'll loop north through Walkersville and the train museum.

There will be hills around the lake and rollers the rest of the way back.

This ride will complete Frederick County for the ABC Tour of Maryland.

Afterwards we can head over to Oktoberfest. Will change into my lederhosen.
