This ride starts at Riley’s Lock on the C&O Canal (but does not use the towpath – it’s all paved) in Seneca, MD. The hilly route is 39 miles and uses the largely deserted roads of western Montgomery County. It goes up to the base of Sugarloaf Mountain and then returns to Riley’s lock with a rest stop at a country store/gas station at about the midpoint. It’s expected that there will be two pace groups (16+ and 14-15).

Please register if you intend to ride and note your preference of pace group.
