ABC Western Shore Wicomico Century & Metric

There are two Wicomico rivers in Maryland? Anyone know how that came to be? This ride explores the ferry-less one on the western shore in Charles and St. Mary's Counties. 

Start is in Mechanicsville at the White Marsh Elementary School. The ride begins on the Three Notch Trail, Visit's Pope's Creek onward to Cobb Island at the mouth of the Wicomico on the Charles County side. The ride then orbits the Wicomico past the Maryland International Raceway to Colton Point, at the mouth of the St. Mary's side. If you are in the mood to explore, pick up a water taxi to St. Clements Island State Park. Find your way to the start of the three notch trail by finding some paved roads going north, and get yourself a well earned lunch at Sonny's BBQ pit.

Both rides average 23' per mile (as compared to 50' per mile for the normal Southern High School Saturday ride)

The metric skips Cobb Island and Pope's Creek and starts at 8AM.
