Saw this favorable review in 'Bicycling' online and thought it might be helpful for anyone who's wanted to ride indoors, but been dissuaded by the price. Hopefully the link works. Although manufactured with a Zwift name on it, don't see why it might not also work for other indoor riding apps.
There is a subscription fee for any of the apps (though many offer a trial or some basic experience for free), and of course you've got to have something to play the app and view the action on (ie. Apple TV, laptop, ipad, sometimes I just do it from my phone if I'm riding easy watching tv).
Wahoo Kickr's and the Kickr bike are probably the gold standard of direct drive trainers, but quite a bit more costly. I've been happy with my Elite Suito, chosen by 'Bicycling' as the best value when I bought it 2 or 3 years ago. But this reviewed Zwifthub trainer looks like an affordable means to ride indoors.
