The ride will start at the boat ramp in Newcomb, a little east of St. Michaels and go all the way to the end of Tilghman Island. Then heading back through St. Michaels, you would have the option of stopping where we left the cars for a 40 mile ride or continuing to the ferry in Bellevue. We would cross to get to our lunch stop at the park in Oxford, getting provisions at the grocery store across the street and then afterward, continuing around through the edge of Easton to complete the 20 mile loop back to our cars.
. The ride will begin at about 9 am at the boat ramp in the town of Newcomb (the town consists of a tiny post office in the boat ramp parking area), about 3 miles east of St. Michaels. To get there, take Rt. 50 to Rt. 322 (the Easton Bypass), then turn right on Rt. 33 for 6 miles to the boat ramp on your left. You can either go directly there or meet up in Annapolis at 8 am at the B&A Trail parking area on Rt. 450 immediately south of Rt. 50 (take the exit immediately after the Severn River bridge) where there would be an opportunity to carpool if you wanted. I plan to be at this parking area by 8 am
Remember to bring money for the bridge toll, ferry and for lunch. I’ll send out another e-mail on Monday to all who’ve signed up confirming the time and that the weather still looks good.
