Saturday

8:00 am start at the Davidsonville park & ride: Bill Malicki will lead a no-drop 30 mile ride at a CC pace: 13-14mph.

8:00 am start at the Davidsonville park & ride: Len Jones will lead a 58 mile ride to North Beach at a BB pace of about 17mph.

9:00 am start at Oregon Ridge Nature Center: Ken Keeler will lead a hilly, but beautiful, 40-mile ride around the Prettyboy Reservoir on Saturday morning starting @9:00am. Start and finish at the Oregon Ridge Nature Center Lodge parking lothttp://oregonridgenaturecenter.org/
This will be a no-drop ride for stronger, BUT NOT necessarily fast, riders. This is probably a BB ride because of the hills, not the speed. The rest stop is at the reservoir dam where there is a p-potty, but no place to buy anything, so riders will need to bring power snacks and two water bottles.
If you plan to participate in this ride please email Ken to confirm.

Sunday
9:00 am start from the Thomas Dixon Observation Area: Ellen Pomerantz will lead a no drop 25 mile ride around the BWI airport trail to Patapsco Valley State Park. Pace 12-14mph. Start location is Thomas Dixon Observation Area parking lot, on Rt 176 Dorsey Road a quarter mile east of the intersection with WB&A Road.
This ride is RSVP only - please contact Ellen if you plan to participate.

Monday, Memorial Day
9:00 am start from Ridgeway Elementary School, Severn, MD: Two groups will be riding to Ellicott City -

Ellen Pomerantz will lead a Valley Rider group to EC, avoiding Lawyers Hill Road and other notable climbs. Contact Ellen.

Joe Urban will lead the Hill Climber group on a 42 mile ride to Ellicott City to include one climb up Lawyers Hill Road and a few other hills sprinkled in. A nice gradual descent down New Cut Road into EC makes the climb up Lawyers Hill worth the effort. Given the hills, pace will be a slower B pace probably 14 - 15 mph. Some traffic on Route 174 and Montgomery Road, light car traffic otherwise.
There will be a rest break in EC at the coffee shop on Main St. next to Tiber Alley Park. The return trip is less hilly via River Rd., Patapsco Valley Park, Levering, Race, Hanover, BWI Trail etc.
Please contact Joe if you plan to participate, and also if you have any questions about the ride.
